Is Your Tourist Visa in Order How About Your Bali Tourist Tax
March 2024
Here’s what we know so far:
According to the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Bali welcomed 5.3 million international visitors in 2023. That’s a lot of people for a small island, even if it’s the “Island of the Gods.”
To be sustainable, Bali's natural beauty, culture, traditions, and amazing tourist sites need to be protected and improved. For Bali, which lacks abundant natural resources, the new tax provides a source of funding for that protection and improvement.
The new tax will go a long way to supporting tourism expansion, local community infrastructure development, and environmental conservation initiatives.
So how do you pay the tax?
It must be paid before arriving in Bali and can be done online via lovebali.baliprov.go.id, or download the Love Bali App from Google Play or the Apple App Store.
After you fill in your name, passport number, email address, and arrival date, you will receive a QR code after payment. The same QR code will be sent to you by email.
The QR code will be scanned by an immigration officer upon arrival at the Bali airport.
It’s Easy!
