James is a veteran of emerging markets with more than 30 years of experience in the accounting, consulting and banking professions.

Since moving to Indonesia in 1991, he has helped build Moores Rowland into the country’s fifth largest accounting and audit firm, serving the needs of both corporate Indonesia and its society.

A great believer in the corporate responsibility to society, James has become increasingly involved in the field of human rights in recent years and together with former Indonesian Attorney General Marzuki Darusman was responsible for the initial conceptualization and development of Moores Rowland’s award-winning human rights audit methodology. The expansion of the human rights focus beyond its initial audit services of business compliance was to lead to the pair, along with other luminaries, establishing the Foundation for International Human Rights Reporting Standards (FIHRRST).
